  • Overview

    The eCommerce Product Manager will be responsible for executing Hard Rock’s online retail strategy through collaboration with the technology, merchandising, planning, and licensing teams to deliver sales growth through the online channels.  This role is key in delivering best-in-class practices by optimizing the online retail experience and recommending key functionality to accelerate the ecommerce business.  Works directly with our eCommerce solution provider to maintain our product roadmap and ensure new capabilities are delivered as planned.  Directly leads a small team responsible for maintaining the product copy and creative execution of the ecommerce experience.  Partners with the retail teams to ensure the online assortment is highly discoverable and functionally supported.  Educates teams to drive results through regular reviews of online analytics and established KPIs.

    Responsibilities

    • Define key metrics and KPIs to share ongoing performance of the ecommerce experience
    • Responsible for maintaining the ecommerce experience roadmap and communication of project status
    • Collaborate with creative, marketing, and merchandising to refine and continually improve and optimize the ecommerce experience to deliver business results
    • Closely monitors market, customer needs, and trends and works within a cross-functional environment to translate into future enhancements and new experiences
    • Ensure that ecommerce experience is easy to navigate and considered best in class
    • Identify conversion optimization opportunities and develops testing strategy
    • Recommends ideas to improve the customer experience through UI/UX design and technology
    • Evangelizes SEO best practices and ensures site is highly optimized
    • Leads implementation of new features and initiatives
    • Manages relationships with third party partners as appropriate
    • Coaches team and provides them with clear and measurable goals and objectives

    Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum of 5 years in eCommerce/eRetailing
    • Demonstrated hands-on execution and problem-solving capabilities with ability to work to tight deadlines
    • Demonstrated success in defining, implementing and advocating effective ecommerce processes, methods and tools
    • Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices and experience/technology trends
    • Solid experience with agile development processes and monthly or weekly product release cycles
    • Solid experience with project planning and data analysis
    • Good understanding of database design and information architecture
    • Solid background and expertise in UIUX design and web development practices
    • Expertise in Google Analytics and SEO

     

    EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS

    • Proven track record of managerial success in a fast paced environment by possessing the experience, ability, and knowledge to move the business forward financially while focusing on human capital.
    • Proven track record of making high quality decisions and the ability to make complex decisions.
    • Applicable standard of education is required.

     

    SKILLS

    • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing.
    • Comprehend and use technical or professional language, either written or spoken, to communicate complex ideas.
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
    • Multiple language abilities a plus, fluency in English required.
    • A “can do” mentality – demonstrating a real passion for making things happen and for achieving stretch targets
    • Strong working knowledge of mobile and social

    • Ability to move throughout the corporate office and cafes during visits (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.

    • Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment.
    • Ability to travel via auto or airplane for long periods of time.
