Responsibilities

This individual will be responsible for the procurement of consumable products for the cafe coupled with the responsibility of accurate ordering and inventory control.   He/she will partner with the cafe management team to ensure that there are proper policies/procedures in place to minimize financial risk to the business.

  • Execution of timely delivery, cost effectiveness, and quality procurement standards
  • Ordering of consumable and non-consumable products. 
  • Management of CBORD inventory system. 
  • Ensure that the COS is in line with company goals. 
  • Partnership with the corporate R&D department to ensure contract adherence and understand individual cafe needs. 
  • Proper stocking of deliveries to ensure they are placed in proper rotation.
  • Build relationships with vendors.
  • Ensure proper thawing procedures are in place and thawed product levels are maintained.
  • Maintain all walk-in, freezer and storage facilities by ensuring they remain clean, neat and organized at all times. 
  • Execute prep recipes to company standards, ensure proper packaging, storage and product rotation. 
  • Conduct thorough, quality line checks to ensure product quality, availability and storage meets company standards. 
  • Coordinate food, beverage and supply purchases between operations departments.
  • Present a professional image to employees, guests, clients, owners and investors.
  • Operate ethically to protect the image of Hard Rock.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of CBORD.
  • A minimum of 5 years of consumable product procurement experience. 
  • Strong Microsoft office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • The ability to work in a fast paced envrionment. 

SKILLS

  • Highly self-motivated with the desire to improve the quality and cost of consumable products. He/she must also exhibit the assertiveness necessary to negotiate with vendors to ensure quality and cost of procured food items. 
  • The independence to complete tasks timely without intervention from other department members.
  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing.
  • Comprehend and use technical or professional language, either written or spoken, to communicate complex ideas.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. 
  • Multiple language abilities a plus, fluency in English required. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to move throughout the corporate office and cafes during visits (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time. 
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time. 
  • Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists. 
  • Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear. 
  • Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hand above shoulders.
  • Ability to occasionally, regularly, frequently move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 10 pounds. 
  • Ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion. 
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy envrionment. 
  • Ability to travel via auto or airplane for long periods of time.
