Hard Rock Cafe New York - Facilities Manager
This individual will work directly with Cafe Operations and the Corporate Facilities department on the completion of planned work projects for cafe businesses ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.
LIFE SAFETY AND CODE COMPLIANCE
Schedule planned work.
Spearhead cafe facility improvements
Ensure that facility deficiencies are handled timely in order to avoid business interruption
Negotiate cost of repairs and improvements in order to ensure that budgetary commitments are met
Ongoing daily repairs as well as maintenance schedule of all equipment
Ensure facility code compliance
Partner with Operations management to ensure execution of a guest/employee life safety policy
Daily over-site of cleaning crew in coordination with General Manager
Coordinate operations between departments
Teach/coach and document employees who fail to meet standards to maintain a high quality workforce
Present a professional image to employees, guests, clients, owners and investors
Attend client functions and designated parties to provide support, ensure guest satisfaction and promote future business
Build business/market share by thinking of new ways to promote company and by participating in local events to increase sales and profits. Develop and maintain positive relationships with in the business and social community. Spearhead annual philanthropic initiatives
Work as a team, helping all employees to complete the required activities that ensure we blow away Guest expectations.
Maintain low staff turnover rate and high moral
Operate ethically to protect the image of Hard Rock
Utilize programs designed to help Save the Planet

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)
This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through a High School Diploma; trade school certificate preferred. One to three years of experience in commercial / industrial facilities maintenance preferred. One to three years of experience in a hospitality environment.
