JOB DESCRIPTION – Audio/Visual Technician

Hard Rock Live, a concert theater and event production venue seeks additional Audio/Visual Technicians  to support corporate meetings, programs, productions and events in the Café and breakout rooms. Our full scope of services includes comprehensive productions for AV presentations, corporate meetings, guest speakers and various musical events. We are seeking team members to assist with technical installation and support of café video monitors, audio and lighting systems, IT needs and multi-media content distribution systems. While this position is a focus on general AV support and IT assistance in the Tech department, the position may also crossover into support and stagehand calls for live entertainment, local bands, corporate events, awards shows, DJ parties, and various bookings within the venue. This position is based in Orlando, and is a part time freelance position. Nights, holidays, weekdays and weekends are required, and candidates should expect a variable schedule based on show based needs. Minimum availability will be required to maintain employment. Client interaction may be required. A pleasant, outgoing personality, industry experience and knowledge of event logistics, corporate presentations, and multimedia is required.

Responsibilities

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Ideal candidate will possess knowledge of AV Systems; signal routing, cable terminations, applications, and general tech abilities. Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting multimedia systems is required. The successful candidate will be well organized, able to work independently, and demonstrate an ability to methodically troubleshoot, identify problems, and repair professional audio/video, lighting and IT systems. Technician must be respectful of our client's needs and production goals, and demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with client reps and internal staff even under high pressure scenarios.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to ensure smooth event and meeting flow, through A/V technical assistance from set-up to strike.
  • Working experience with setting up and striking of audio, lighting, computers, and video.
  • College degree preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Valid driver’s license
