  • Overview

    This role will be primarily focused on implementing the company’s merchandise assortment and experience vision to our Hotels and Casinos.   Basic responsibilities encompass developing a roadmap for Hard Rock Retail vision implementation and execution.  Additionally this role will be an advocate for Hotels and Casinos with Global merchandising.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop roadmap for Hard Rock retail vision implementation and execute by influencing internal and external customers
    • Develop an understanding of the property merchandising needs based on guest insights (demographics, resort, golf, high season vs low season, kids)
    • Partner directly with Hard Rock merchandising to influence Hotel & Casino specific product development – communicates key product direction, hind-sighting and trends across all regions
    • Communicate assortment vision into collections
    • Seek data from all partners to analyze seasonal and hindsight information. Analyze historic data, trends, product assortment, and competition.
    • Create and present a compelling assortment that will meet financial targets and will support sales objectives
    • Actively participate as the voice of Hotel & Casinos in milestone meetings to ensure critical paths and calendars are met for i.e. New Hotel openings, renovations, special events
    • Identify strategies in-season where needed and provides appropriate and timely direction to global merchandising; liaises directly with global merchandising on all opportunities
    • Influence retail pricing architecture and strategies and works closely with global merchandising to ensure these are effectively delivered
    • Participate in monthly calls with Hotel and Casino partners with focus around in-season assortment implementation and management
    • Travel to territories to determine product opportunities and assess seasonal in-store execution
    • Develop and train direct reports through timely goal setting and review, weekly touch bases and quarterly check-ins and identify and provide additional training as needed
    • Guide, mentor and monitor Hotel & Casino buying team

    Qualifications

    GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Requires extensive experiences in product management across multiple categories

    Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

    • 7 – 10 years of retail buying / planning experience in specialty retail, preferably fashion or accessories
    • Influencing without authority – Project Management mindset
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred, ideally a fashion related degree such as a BA in Design, Fashion Journalism, Fashion and Marketing or Buying and Merchandising Management
    • High level of business acumen and demonstrated problem solving skills
    • Strong negotiation, timely decision making, organization and analytical skills
    • Ability to collaborate cross functionally and motivate at all levels to drive product
    • Ability to think clearly and strategically in a high energy, fast paced environment
    • Passion for fashion, current trends and how they apply to our friends
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • International flair with cultural depth and understanding
    • Acute sense of brand and customer base
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • 30 % Travel (Domestic & International)
